Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that range is solid.
Platforms
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 once they try it.
FIX API is offered for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently in the works. That should make the platform set once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That says what kind of broker this is.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering is strong. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Here is the detail you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It does inform your decision.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it depends on you.
